Project Management - Quality Assurance Audit Undertaken by Caterpillar Inc.

Delta's Hydraulics' largest customer is Caterpillar Inc. Delta supplies hydraulic cylinders and related parts to Caterpillar's hard rock underground mining wheel loader and dump truck range. Customers include Caterpillar's subsidiary companies in Thailand, Singapore, USA and Australia. Customers include OEMs of the underground mining range and service parts distribution centers.

Three senior managers from Caterpillar conducted the audit in Devonport, Tasmania, including a hydraulics engineer, a metallurgist and a procurement specialist representing the global procurement office for the hydraulics segment.

Delta's sophisticated in-house design, engineering and end-to-end manufacturing capability enables us to provide rapid and flexible design, engineering and manufacture and deliver quality product to our customers whether it is a one-off project or high production volume OEM product.

Evahan Managing Director and Principal Consultant, Jason Bresnehan, led Delta's senior management and engineering team through Evahan's propriety 27 Element QMS Framework to:

1. Close gaps identified by key supplier Caterpillar Inc, in its May-June 2015 audit. The gaps included documentation and/or processing deficiencies in materials traceability, metals machining, chrome plating, MIG welding, friction welding, chrome finishing, paint and shipment.
2. Developed all Manuals Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions and created integration with its Manusoft work order (MOB) system, including engineering drawing control and management
3. Assigned roles for the QMS to key senior management within the organization
