Witting: Manual, Polices, Procedures, Work Instructions, Templates, Checklists

Jason Bresnehan collaborated with AJL Group, a programmed maintenance service provider to the road transport and shipping sectors, to develop and refine a variety of management and control documents. These included policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, manuals, and checklists that support the company's ISO 9001 quality management system.

The management and control documents encompass all key functional areas of the business, including:

  • Determining customer requirements
  • Procurement, inwards goods, and inventory control of components and consumables
  • Service scheduling via their Job Card system
  • Service controls via templates and checklists
  • People skills, competency and licence controls
  • Welding program controls
  • Calibration and equipment maintenance control
  • Improvement control, including non-conformance management, the development of corrective and preventative actions, and continuous improvements
  • Outwards goods and shipping
  • Customer Feedback and warranties
  • Management Review

The quality manual heads the document hierarchy, followed by policies, overarching procedures, and detailed procedural documents such as SOPs, work instructions, templates, checklists, and forms.
