Jason Bresnehan was engaged to deliver business training for participants in the Australian Government's New Enterprise Incentive Scheme

Four to five times per year Jason is to deliver business training to the small business owners in groups of about 12. The training is delivered as a 6 week intensive classroom and mentoring course, followed up with quarterly one-on-one mentoring sessions for twelve months from the launch of the business.

The business training includes the modules of:

  • Strategic analysis - SWOT
  • Product / Service Strategy
  • Pricing
  • Distribution
  • Promotion
  • People
  • Finance
  • Taxation
  • Law

Financial Modelling

As part of the Finance training module Jason is to work one-on-one with the small business owner(s) to undertake Financial Modelling and provide integrated cashflow, profit and loss, balance sheet projections for a minimum of a three-year period, including detailed support schedules relevant to the business at hand.

Outputs

Each business owner graduated in the training and produced a business plan with a detailed financial model for their business start-up.
