Jason Bresnehan Assists with License Application for a Venture Capital Fund

Jason assisted the principals of Melbourne based investment banking and corporate advisory firm Noble House with its licence application to the Australian Government's Department of Industry, Science and Resources for a IIF venture capital licence. A group of special purpose funds management vehicles were established to bid for the licence.  This group of entities is called the Momentum Venture Investment Group.

Jason assisted in the detailed financial model consisting of forecast cashflows, with key assumptions and contingency factoring which underpins the business plan accompanying the licence application. The financial model was abased around a fund management entity earning fees, and the venture capital fund itself which is based on a portfolio model offering returns on investment via M&A exits, and hurdle rate structured sharing of profits and super profits to the private and government investors including hurdle-based performance incentives for the fund manager.

All the criteria within the competitive licence application process were met and the Momentum Investment Group was successful in being awarded one of the five licenses issued.
