Case Study: Evahan Assists Tasbuilt Homes in Achieving ISO 9001 Recertification for 2026

Evahan recently supported Tasbuilt Homes in successfully achieving recertification of its ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). Evahan originally designed, developed, and implemented Tasbuilt’s QMS more than two years ago, and throughout 2025 continued to work closely with Tasmania’s largest builder of prefabricated modular homes and commercial buildings.

A continuous improvement program sits at the centre of Tasbuilt’s QMS — as it does for all Evahan clients. Tasbuilt has demonstrated a strong commitment to continually refining its processes and operational practices to meet evolving customer expectations and the increasingly regulated, quality‑conscious environment in which it operates.

Tasbuilt’s QMS is led by Anita Cunningham (pictured above with Jason Bresnehan). One of the standout continuous improvement initiatives in 2025 was the development of Final Inspection and Test Plans (FITPs) for a commercial client seeking to elevate the quality assurance of their steel floor sub‑assemblies.

Working with Evahan, Tasbuilt engaged directly with the client to understand their requirements and developed FITP plans and checklists that introduced:
•     qualified, detailed floor sub‑assembly shop drawings
•     welding and fabrication performed by welders qualified to Australian structural steel codes and international WQR standards
•     visual weld inspections conducted by a weld supervisor
•     ultrasonic testing of welds based on a logical sampling rate
•     weld consumable traceability
•     steel mill certificate traceability for galvanised materials

The independent external auditor issued zero non‑conformances and commended Tasbuilt’s QMS as best practice for Australian companies in this sector.

In 2026, Evahan will continue to support Tasbuilt in further strengthening and maturing its QMS. A key focus for the year will be enhancing the efficiency and replicability of residential steel floor sub‑assemblies through improved quality assurance protocols.
